Bradford United 1, The Deverills 1
BRADFORD United gave The Deverills a point by failing to take advantage of
having an extra man for 65 minutes after Lee Carpenter was sent off.
Up to then Bradford had had the better of the exchanges and had taken the
lead in the third minute through Matt Hammond when Deverills failed to play
to the whistle thinking he was offside.
Bradford continued to create the occasional chance but the match was a
scrappy affair with neither goalkeeper really troubled until the Deverills
equalised through Mike Payne when Bradford conceded a senseless penalty in
the 70th minute.
