Westbury United A held a 4-1 lead from the first leg of
their E J Shanley and Son Limited sponsored-Division Two Cup against the
Anchor and Hope and their progress into the next round was never in doubt in
this wind-swept second leg.
A Dale Rowland first half goal extended their advantage to 5-1.
The second half saw Anchor and Hope level with an own goal before Ashley
Easton restored Westbury's four goal advantage to make it 6-2 on aggregate.
With time running out Anchor and Hope pulled another goal back through
Marcus Clarke to make the final score 2-2 on the day and 6-3 to Westbury
overall.
Bratton 0, Lavington 3
(Lavington won 10-0 on aggregate)
WITH the weather doing its best to ruin the match, Bratton had a torrid
first ten minutes as two players were taken off with head injuries after
clashing with each other, but they managed to hold out to half-time with the
score at 0-0.
With the wind against them in the second period Lavington began to turn up
the pressure and started to dominate play and after four minutes they found
themselves a goal in front, thanks to Rob Hannah.

Two minutes later it was 2-0 as the ever dependable Myles Hickton found the
net.
Goal number three came on the hour mark as James Campbell got in on the
scoring act.
The weather then dominated the rest of the match and no further goals were
scored, although Myles Hickton managed to get himself cautioned for dissent
after 71 minutes.
Semington Magpies 1, Mere Town 5
(Mere won 8-1 on aggregate)
ALREADY 3-0 down from the first leg, Semington had to forego home advantage
in the second leg as their pitch was unplayable so they switched the match
to Mere.
By half-time Mere were three goals to the good, through Nick Ward (2) and
Chris Parfitt.
The second half saw a slight improvement for Semington and they registered a
goal of their own through Andy Harrison. But not to be out done Mere scored
a further two goals, through Chris Parfitt and Bradley Nixon to win 5-1 on
the day and 8-1 on aggregate.
The Eleven Statues 4, The Lamb Inn 0
(The Eleven Statues won 6-3 on aggregate)
THE Lamb held a slender 3-2 lead from the first leg but by half-time in the
second leg their lead had gone as The Statues scored three unanswered goals
from John Walters.
The second period only saw one more goal as Aarron Blacker scored to make it
4-0. the Statues progressing 6-3 on aggregate.
