Bratton had two players sent off as they went down to a 2-1
defeat against fellow strugglers Mere Town Youth in a windswept game at
Leighton Sports Centre.
Mere Town took the lead after 11 minutes before Bratton pulled a goal back
on 34 minutes through Peter Gizzi to make the half-time score one 1-1.
The second period started badly for the home side as within seconds of the
restart David Jones found himself in the referee's book for a late
challenge.
Substitute John Fenwick then became the second Bratton player in the note
book for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Not to be left behind in the caution race Adam Scourse of Mere then
collected a yellow card as he went into the book for unsportsmanlike
behaviour.
Two minutes later, in the 67th minute, Mere regained the lead to go 2-1 in
front.

Beecham was dismissed for foul language.

them, Broughton Gifford, by 5-1.
Tim Sandiford started the rout before Tom Slater made it two just before the
break.
The second half started with Broughton pulling a goal back, but this didn't
dent Spring Cup finalists Bromham's spirit and they went on to score three
more goals.
Tim Sandiford scored two more to complete his hat-trick and Anthony Butler
added a single.
Rowde Sports 11, The Stiffs 0

Russell Gibbings.
Trowbridge Wanderers 2, Calne Eagles 2
TROWBRIDGE Wanderers stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to
seven games when they twice came back from a goal down to share the points
with Calne Eagles.
The first half was a very tight affair, with both teams struggling to create
chances. Wanderers came closest to opening the scoring after 15 minutes
when Chris Penelhum's rasping shot was impressively tipped over the bar by
Calne goalkeeper Andy Windsor.
It was the Eagles who drew first blood after half an hour when Adam Bewley's
wayward cross reduced Wanderers goalkeeper Liam Newbie to a spectator as the
ball sailed into the net.
Within minutes of the second half, Wanderers got their equaliser when James
Harman swept the ball home at the far post following a mistimed clearance by
Darren Axford.
Wanderers then had their best spell of the game and only good defending and
impressive goalkeeping from Windsor prevented them from taking the lead.
Then, completely against the run of play, a through ball from Danny Thompson
sent Jamie Davies clean through on goal and finished confidently to score
his 19th goal of the season.
Davies then had a further two good chances to extend Calne's lead but adept
goalkeeping from Liam Newbie kept him at bay.
Wanderers substitute Rob Jacques completed the scoring with only 12 minutes
remaining when he ran onto a long ball and slipped his shot past Windsor.
In the closing stages Calne Eagles came closest to winning the game when
substitute Gareth Cook saw his shot well saved by Newbie.
