Bradford United were unlucky not to share the points against
Seend United in a match that was badly affected by the wind and saw two
penalties missed.
With defences on top it was not until the 27th minute that Seend scored the
goal that was to earn them all three points, with a 20 yard toe-poke by John
Hubbard eluding all attempts to stop the ball creeping into the net.
Bradford played better against the wind in the second half than Seend had in
the first and were rewarded with a penalty eight minutes from time, but Tom
Drewett made a fine save to push the ball around the post.
Four minutes later Seend were also given a penalty which a diving Dan Fry
held on to leave Seend the winners.
