Clash of the day in Division One saw second-placed AFC
Trowbridge Town Youth Reserves take on newly crowned champions Seend United.
Trowbridge dominated the match but were unable to score and at one point
with a shot goal bound they even contrived to prevent the ball from going in
by one of their own players stopping the ball on the goal line and allowing
Seend to clear.
With the second half played in the same fashion as the first, with
Trowbridge dominating, the inevitable happened when Seend broke away and
scored the only goal of the game through Leigh Stephenson to win 1-0.
Frome Town Sports 1, Bradford United 0
BRADFORD were forced onto the back foot for the majority of this game but
determined defending and the occasional slice of luck restricted Frome's
chances and half-time arrived without the Bradford goalkeeper having to make
a save.
Frome continued to dominate during the second half and were eventually
rewarded with the only goal of the game, from Lewis Collier, in the 78th
minute.
Bradford continued to fight for everything and had their best spell of the
game during the last ten minutes but never really looked like scoring.

The Deverills 1, Blue Circle 3
BLUE Circle remain third in the table after recording a 3-1 victory away to
The Deverills.
A Darryl Maxwell goal gave the visitors a 1-0 lead at the interval. The
second half saw a much improved start by The Deverills and they soon found
themselves on level term as Matt Pinnell poked home the equaliser from three
yards.
The cement men then reapplied themselves and restored their lead midway
through the half as Maxwell scored his second.
The match was put beyond The Deverills ten minutes later when Sean Sheppard
scored to make it 3-1.
