Broughton Gifford move up on leaders

DIVISION THREE: Broughton Gifford moved to within a point of leaders Great Western with a 7-2 win away to Bratton Reserves.

Adam Berrisford opened the scoring for Bratton, but that was as good as it got for them in the first half as Gifford hit back with six goals, through Chris Turk (2), Adie Bridge, Chris Fenwick, Dan Burke and Ed Acka.

The second half saw a further two goals scored, one from each side, Simon Bagnall for Broughton and the goal of the match from Bratton, which saw a pin point 30 yard pass volleyed into the back of the net by Dan Clemence.

Seend United Reserves 5, FC Chippenham Youth A 1

THIS midtable clash saw Seend United Reserves take all three points with a 5-1 home win over FC Chippenham Youth A.

The match was done and dusted by halftime as Dave Castle, Nathan Walker, Dan Humphries and Ralph Plummer (2) scored for Seend.

Bromham Reserves 6, Great Western 3

BROMHAM Reserves inflicted a first league defeat of the season on Great Western as they won comfortably by 6-3.

At half-time Great Western must have thought it was game over as they held a 3-1 lead, with their goals coming from Luke Wolfe, Dave Wolfe and Stuart Hynes. Bromham's goal was scored by Sam Paget.

The second half saw an inspired performance from the home side as they laid onslaught to the besieged Western defence, which eventually collapsed as Sam Paget scored his second, which was quickly followed up by a hat-trick from Jack Fisher and the final goal from Tom Slater.
