CHIPPENHAM Town boss Adie Mings is preparing to launch a double transfer raid as he looks to bolster his squad in the final push for promotion.
Mings believes complacency, injuries and tiredness are beginning to take hold and says new faces are essential if the club is to progress.
The Bluebirds boss hopes to seal the signatures of two players in the next week.
Mings said: "We've got a couple of targets in mind and if we can get them that will be all well and good.
"It's come to the stage now where things need to be freshened up and we need a couple of fresh faces in.
"I don't want players resting on their laurels and thinking they have got the right to play week-in, week-out.
"Complacency always sets in when you haven't got competition for places."
"A lot of them have over-achieved and over-performed and I don't want to see it slip away now.
"I know they have been excellent for me all season. We want to work with these lads because they are developing."
Mings' squad has an average age of 21 and he wants more seasoned players to join the club.
The Chippenham boss has one eye on next season and says older heads will benefit his squad.
Mings said: "We need more experienced players for the league above because it's even more challenging than this league."
