CHIPPENHAM Town boss Adie Mings has criticised his players after the
surprise 2-1 home defeat by Brackley in midweek.
Victory would have guaranteed the Bluebirds a place in the Southern League
Premier Division play-offs, but they must now wait for another week.
Mings was unhappy with the performance and the players' attitude.
"Three points would have secured a place in the play-offs but as has
happened a few times this season, we couldn't put in back-to-back
performances," said Mings.
"I think there's inconsistency, a few players thought they had done their
job by winning at Hemel and didn't apply themselves in the same way.
"I think it's down to naivete, poor attitude and preparation.

"Some players looked a bit jaded after Saturday but they knew they had two
tough games coming up.
