CONFIDENT Chippenham Town goalkeeper Chris Snoddy says the team head to
Cheshunt for tomorrow's critical Southern League Premier Division clash in
buoyant mood - even if he doesn't enjoy the journey.
The Bluebirds stopper, who stands at well over six feet tall, is confident
of victory against the Ambers but is not looking forward to sitting on the
team coach for several hours.
Snoddy said: "The trip isn't the best because I'm quite tall and the seat is
quite small.
"I've got long legs and the coach isn't the biggest place."
Snoddy was not sure if he would demand a bigger seat for next season should
his side get promoted.
"We'll have to see," joked the Chippenham stopper.

In more serious matters the Bluebirds goalkeeper is confident his team will
reach the play-offs but warned against complacency.
Snoddy said: "We're in a good position and I'm looking forward to getting to
the play-offs and seeing what happens.
"I think we're always confident. When we play as well as we can, we can
pretty much beat anyone.
"We're all pretty relaxed when it comes to big games, and it's such a lively
dressing room.
"We get relaxed by the older lads who have been there before.
"But we've got to be careful because all the pressure's on us to win, they
have got no pressure on them.
"Every game is different and our form is a little bit up and down at the
moment.
"The atmosphere wasn't great after the Brackley game. We weren't at the
races and after we realised what an opportunity we'd missed. We can't let
this one go."
Snoddy is keenly aware that a defeat against Cheshunt would leave Chippenham
needing a win against title challengers Team Bath, and says this is
something the team are want to avoid.
Snoddy said: "Team Bath is a big game and the more pressure there is the
harder it's going to get.
"It will be easier to get a result on Saturday and then go into the Team
Bath game."
Snoddy's place in the team was called into question by some fans when boss
Adie Mings signed goalkeepers Steve Allison and Iain Gill several weeks ago,
but the young stopper said he was pleased his place was under pressure.
Snoddy said: "It's great to have the competition because it keeps you on
your toes.
"Everyone will admit it's always good when they have got someone breathing
behind them. You've got to work hard."
