CHIPPENHAM Town defender Kevin Halliday insists he is looking forward to
tomorrow's pressure game' at Cheshunt as the Bluebirds bid to cement their
place in the Southern League Premier Division play-offs.
And so, he says, are his team-mates.
Halliday is the first to admit Chippenham have not always been at their best
in recent weeks, but believes tomorrow's must-win game will bring out the
best in the team.
The defender said the team were frustrated at not playing their best in
recent weeks, and views the Cheshunt game as an ideal opportunity to start
afresh.
Halliday said: "It will be a good game for us and hopefully we can get back
to winning ways.
"The league doesn't lie and at the end of the day we've got to be looking to
beat teams like that.

"We want to put a couple of good games in going into the play-offs and get
ourselves playing the way we have been.
"We haven't been playing at our best and that's what we need to start doing
now at the most important time of the season.
"Saturday will be a good start for that. All the players have been a bit
upset regarding having one good game and then one bad game.
"Consistency is the main thing and I think that's what annoyed Adie over the
last couple of weeks.
"We've been putting in indifferent performances over the last few games.
"But I think all the players will be looking forward to it, I don't think
many of the boys will be nervous, we'll just go out like any normal game.
"We know we have to go out and win and the boys respond to that quite
positively.
"I think the boys relish playing in that sort of game, the boys like the big
occasions.
"We don't want to underestimate them and I understand they've got a few more
players and a new manager.
"I think a few of their players will be fighting to stay at the club next
season."
