TROWBRIDGE got back to winning ways in the Wiltshire Division with a 43-run victory over Calne at the County Ground last weekend.
The visitors bowled first after winning the toss and Julian Kearney turned the screw as he took 4-34, with Sean Adams also claiming 3-31.
But Mikey Reynolds (60) and Tom Oakley (50) both got past the half-century mark to fire Trowbridge to 200 before they were skittled in the final over.
Tom Richards led Calne’s run chase with a knock of 40 but Sam Julyan’s figures of 4-21 piled the pressure on the visitors, who were dismissed for 127 early in the 37th over.
Meanwhile, Winsley were unable to put the brakes on Burbage & Easton Royal’s title charge.
Stuart Hammond hit 54 but Oliver Lavis, Michael Papps and Darran Freegard all took three wickets apiece asWinsley were skittled for 149 midway through the 39th over. Burbage’s Papps then hit an unbeaten 62 to fire the hosts to 151-3.
