MAX Bentley shone with both bat and ball as Biddestone were 46-run winners over Westbury in U11 Division Two South at the weekend.
Bentley hit 43 in his side’s 100-1, Tom Smith adding an unbeaten 25 before Bentley took a hat-trick to help restrict Westbury to 54-9 in reply.
Charlie Tarr scored 51 and Harry Birleson an unbeaten 46 in Trowbridge’s 128-3 against South Wilts 2.
The reply ended on 68-7 as Daniel Birleson took 2-3 from two overs and Edward Lowe 3-10 from two in Trowbridge’s 60-run win Alex Kimber struck 27 as Devizes clinched a six-wicket victory over Shrewton.
Earlier, Elliot Milton had taken 3-21 in four overs as Shrewton reached 90-6, Joshua Sullivan taking 1-16.
Tom Swain’s 3-26 from four overs proved in vain as Corsham (95-5) fell short of Swindon’s 128-7, in which Sam Giddings scored an unbeaten 51.
Josh Weaver’s 65 not out guided Swindon (138-3) to a seven-wicket success over Purton (134) in U15 Division One.
Sam Bull scored 65 for Purton as Harmendeep Singh took 3-27.
Chippenham (189-8) and South Wilts (189-5) tied, Charlie Quarrell scoring 77 for Chippenham.
In Division Two, Trowbridge (196-8) were 161-run winners over Calne (35) and Malmesbury (226-9) beat Goatacre (133) by 93 runs.
An impressive second-wicket stand of 158 from Harry Griffin (92 not out) and Sam Singha (38 not out) guided Wootton Bassett to a nine-wicket win over Cannings/Potterne.
