BOTTLESFORD’S Sean Montgomery played a starring role during Warminster School’s tour to Guernsey.

The 12-year-old was part of the U13 squad which travelled to take on the Guernsey Cricket Board and beat them by seven wickets.

Montgomery took 5-21 off just six overs and then weighed in with a half-century, scoring 51 with the bat.

It was the Potterne CC youngster’s first ‘fifer’ and maiden 50 and he received the match ball from Warminster School’s director of sport Chris Knight.

MATTHEW Milne took 3-0 to help set up Burbage’s six-wicket win over Purton in U13 Division One of the Wiltshire Youth League.

Will Harris also took 1-6 as Purton reached 93-9 before Harris hit an unbeaten 43 to help his side home.

Prav Chahal retired unbeaten on 100 in Wootton Bassett’s 283-2 against Calne in Division Two North.

Nav Chahal and Dylan Evans both made unbeaten 54s before the bowlers took over, Iwan Floyd taking 5-4 in three overs as Calne were out for just 59.

Calum Sandell’s 63 helped Corsham (173-4) to a 130-run success over Shrivenham.

Will Pritchett hit 49 of Biddestone’s 163-8 against Marlborough, for whom Zak Tunmore and Matt Dix took 2-15 and 2-37.

Pritchett then took 4-12, and Seb Evans and Harry Shore claimed two wickets each as Marlborough were all out for 42.
