BATH & Wiltshire Romans gained some measure of revenge for their West of England Challenge Cup defeat by Cheltenham Phoenix by downing their rivals in the West of England Nines tournament.
The Romans won 26-22 in the event - the 13-a-side code’s equivalent of rugby union’s sevens - at Supermarine RFC just outside Swindon.
The Leafy Lane-based side are currently top of the West of England League table and travel to face Swindon St George on Saturday (2.30pm).
