WILTSHIRE’S latest pre-season friendly match against Dorset at South Wilts Cricket Club on Saturday was abandoned after 10 overs as a result of heavy rain.

The home side got off to a shaky start and had reached 36-3 when the contest was called off.

Wiltshire’s final friendly before the 2016 Unicorns Championship takes place on Sunday, April 17 when they face Berkshire for the Marlborough Cup at Corsham (11am start).

Michael Coles’ men hold the cup after triumphing last year at North Maidenhead CC.

The match was originally scheduled to be played at Beversbrook, Calne but has had to be moved to Corsham as the ground has not recovered from the heavy winter rain.
