CORSHAM Cricket Club’s Academy 13s and 15s sides have achieved a Bath & District Youth Cricket League double this weekend.

Having already won the Bath 13s Premier League, Corsham 13s beat Hampset in the T20 Cup final at Brislington CC.

The Academy 15s then pulled off the ‘double double,’ beating hosts Brislington in the Bath & District Youth League T20 Cup final to add to their Bath Region Two League title.

Corsham 15s captain Charley Reed won the toss and chose to field, Brislington closing on 129-5 off their 20 overs.

The batsmen responded well were ahead of the run rate throughout, with openers Reed top scoring with an assured 34 and Luke Draper soaking up hostile bowling for a brave 19.

Max Ojomoh added 14 in a 41-run partnership with Reed and Dan Watts and Callum Sandell steadied the Corsham ship before Will Sayers smashed three big fours and a six to seal the win with two overs to spare.

Put into bat by Hampset, Corsham 13s saw skipper Flynn Day and Theo Todhunter score 42 and 24 respectively in their 126, Lily Day and Tom Swain putting on a late 26 runs between them.

Angus Bollen took three wickets along with Chris Monelle, Theo Laver and Day all taking one each as Corsham won by 39 runs.
