WILTSHIRE put their Unicorns KO Trophy campaign back on track as they blitzed Bedfordshire with a 122-run victory at Warminster today.

The hosts, who won their opening Trophy encounter against Buckinghamshire two weeks ago but then suffered a hefty defeat in Suffolk last weekend, wrapped up another two points to leave the Group Four table finely poised with one match to go.

Put into bat, Ed Young's side were dismissed for 259 in the 50th over of their innings, with the score build around two solid partnerships.

Wicketkeeper Tom Morton (37) and Trowbridge's Mikey Reynolds (67) shared a stand of 71 for the second wicket after Wes Durston had been removed in the third ball of the innings.

Reynolds then shared in a fourth-wicket stand of 95 with Mike Coles (57) as the home side made good progress.

There were three wickets each for Jon Carpenter and George Thurstance but within nine over of the reply for the visitors, who featured former England ace Monty Panesar within their ranks, they had lost four wickets.

Westbury's Andy Carroll took 4-21 and Archie Easton 3-44 as away wickets fell regularly, Panesar's 28 towards the end of the innings offering token resistance.

Wiltshire travel to face Hertfordshire next weekend in their final group match.
