WILTSHIRE’S 2nd XI played Dorset, who batted first and posted 200-9 with Brad Dawson taking 4-21.

In their chase, Wiltshire were led by Jack Mynott, who scored 85, but he didn’t get support and eventually Wiltshire finished on 168-9.

  • LAST week was festival week for the boys U10s who were at Malvern College where they played three matches, losing to Norfolk by 33 runs, defeating Bedfordshire by 20 runs and losing to Warwickshire by 49 runs Across the three matches, notable performances came from Flynn Gunston (35 v Bedfordshire), William Alexander (3-7 v Bedfordshire) and Sam Ashman (3-13 v Warwickshire) On Sunday, the boys U13s fell to a heavy defeat as they were bowled out for 37 against Gloucestershire, their highlight being Harry Robbins’ 2-50 in Gloucestershire’s 204-7.

Also in action were the boys U15s who fell to defeat against Dorset.

Batting first, Wiltshire scored 138 all out, with Keron Bennett-Thomas top scoring on 25.

Jayden Atkinson took 3-23 in the reply but Dorset reached the target with two wickets to spare.

The girls’ U13s enjoyed a fine win over Cornwall on Sunday as they dismissed their opponents for just 37, Katie Dolman and Charlotte Moore both taking three wickets - the latter being a hat-trick.

In the chase, Wiltshire got over the line after losing six wickets.

There was also victory last week for the girls U17s who beat Worcestershire by five wickets.

Wiltshire bowled out their opponents for 94, with Millie Lang taking 3-8, and reached their target for the loss of just five, with Grace Dunford top scoring on 27
