BATSMEN dominated in Wiltshire's opening one-day warm-up game against Corsham yesterday.

Corsham captain Michael Coles blasted 135 against his county colleagues as the club side, batting first, made 233 for eight. Will Collier chipped in with 20 not out and Tom Hankins added 15.

Wiltshire's reply was dominated by a 120 run first wicket stand between Damian Shirazi (97) and former Westbury captain Joe Breet, who made 59.

Trowbridge all-rounder Peter Hickerton made 20 but Wiltshire finished 26 runs short of their target on 207 for eight.

Pick of the bowlers were off spinner Jason Searle, who took three wickets, and Hankins, who took two.

Sixteen-year-old Nick Harrison, from Chippenham, also took a wicket on his debut.
