WINSLEY captain Andy Ellett says his team threw away victory after they
lost by 12 runs at local rivals Devizes.
Ellett put the home side into bat after winning the toss and Devizes hit 146
off 45 overs.
Winsley's innings began disastrously as Ted O'Leary and Ellett went for one
run each.
Terrence Duffin and Charlie Holton hit 25 and 24 respectively but out of the
remaining batsmen only Rich Wright and Giles Lunt got into double figures as
Winsley fell just short.
Skipper Ellett said: "It was very disappointing. We got off to a good start
the week before and went into the game confident with a very strong side.
"We bowled very credibly and it was a score that we felt was well within our
capabilities, and in hindsight I think it's something we should have got.

"We got ourselves in a situation where at the halfway point we should have
won but we didn't really finish off the game."
Winsley take on Potterne away tomorrow.
Rich Wright and Ted O'Leary are missing, while Andy Cross is still out after
missing last Saturday's match. Neil Harris and Ben Taylor will come into the
side.
Captain Ellett wants an immediate reaction to the defeat against Devizes.
Ellett said: "We're looking to put that result behind us and get back on
track where we started in the first game.
"I'm still confident we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season
with the squad we've got."
