FROME Town boss Andy Crabtree has blamed his team's lack of consistency for
their failure to mount a serious challenge for this season's Toolstation
League Premier Division title.
The Robins are likely to finish the season in a more then respectable third
place, but Crabtree would have liked more.
Frome produced one of the shocks of the season as they easily beat new
champions Truro City 3-0 at Treyew Road on Saturday.
Prior to the game Truro had only lost once at home all season, a 1-0 defeat
to Mel Gingell's Corsham Town in December.
And the Truro win came only three days after Frome drew 2-2 with runners-up
Dawlish Town.
Crabtree revelled in a superb team performance against Truro.

He said: "The pleasing point for us was they didn't actually create a
goalscoring opportunity.
"It was a convincing win and it could have been five or six, you can't ask
for any more than that.
"We were excellent, we had a good day out and the result was the icing on
the cake.
"We've played the team that was first and the team that was second in the
space of three days and I don't think anyone who watched both games doubted
we were the better team.
"It's over the course of the season we've not produced and it's cost us.
