WILTSHIRE Cup U16s Division Two champions Bradford on Avon romped to a 10-try 60-5 demolition of Swindon to continue their superb final campaign together.

Centre Will Slark led the scoring, touching down for three tries while there were doubles for midfield partner Ali Lacey and fly-half and captain Sam Jones, who added five conversions.

Prop Ben Evans also scored his first try of the season, while flanker George Wrigglesworth and wing Ben Symons also crossed.

Eight local schools are represented within the team, which has won 11 and drawn one of their 14 matches this season, while remaining unbeaten in the cup competition.

Head coach Colin Evans said: “This is the last season that this bunch of outstanding young men will play together as an age group, as they will move up to the mixed age Academy next year.

“They have gone from strength to strength, but this year has seen a marked step change, and they have played some fantastic ‘whole team’ total rugby, along the way beating some very good sides.’’
