TROWBRIDGE were left frustrated and disappointed after narrowly failing to register their first away win of the South West One East season.
Buzzard were the first to break the deadlock when the visitors started to push forward but left their flanks exposed, allowing left wing Graham Magill to round the defence and score out wide.
Fly-half Dan David missed the conversion and Trowbridge responded with an excellent try from James Davies to level the scores.
David booted a penalty to increase Buzzard’s advantage but with Trowbridge seeming to get the edge over the home side, an overlap in the backs put Ashley Chalk through to score to give the away side the half-time lead.
In the second period the home side upped the tempo and from a scrum, Buzzard wing forward Ross Bevan went through the defence to score.
Trowbridge fell further behind from a tap and go penalty as scrum-half Charlie Esdon went over under the posts, David adding the extras.
Trowbridge started to pile the pressure on the home defence until they got the breakthrough, putting prop Karl Parry over the line.
Davis was successful with the conversion to close the gap to three but, as Trowbridge pushed forward again, the referee called time.
