MELKSHAM failed to make the most of their bright start in their league clash.

The home side got off to a bright start with a break from Steve Watson getting the ball out wide where backs interplay resulted in a try for Dave Dyke.

Simon Foster added the conversion and kicked a further three points with a penalty a few minutes later.

But Swindon began to show their ability and scored a converted try shortly afterwards, from a ball fly-hacked on.

The visitors continued to press, breaking the gain line and competing at the breakdown.

Another two tries followed for the visitors as they closed the half 21-10 up.

Following a rousing half-time speech from skipper Callum Hurn, Melksham hit back as Foster slotted a penalty to keep in touch.

However, Swindon’s polished performance was rewarded with a bonus-point try in the final quarter.
