BATH prop Henry Thomas is expecting another tough challenge from in-form Wasps when the sides meet in the Premiership at the Rec tomorrow (3pm).

Bath were defeated 29-22 by their rivals when they met at Wasps’ then home of Adams Park in October and Dai Young’s men are on a five-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

Thomas, who signed in the summer for Sale Sharks, said: “They’ve had games they would expect to win and they have done that very well.

“They have got a dangerous team with a lot of natural try scorers “We lost away there earlier in the season. It was one of our more difficult afternoons, even though we kind of got close in the end. But this is different and we’re back at the Rec.

The 23-year-old was a substitute in last Sunday’s 17-8 defeat at Leicester and has been pushing David Wilson in the tighthead position.

He added: “Personally, I’m quite happy with the way things have gone. It’s about putting pressure on Davey Wilson which I’m doing.

“Team-wise it’s always very important to keep momentum and every game is massively important.

“January is always a funny month. The two Premiership games you play are always vital and then you go back into European competitions.

“Saturday is important to keep us up with Northampton.’’
