Buzzard fly-half Dan David landed a penalty before the half-hour mark but Lloyd Davis did likewise to restored Trowbridge’s advantage.

A flurry of yellow cards in the final minutes of the half from referee Gordon Hardie saw Buzzard centre Euan Irwinand Trowbridge replacements Dan Smith and Scott Williams sidelined, but David added a further penalty.

Trowbridge chose to run the ball in the second half and were rewarded when Williams and Alan Chadwick made ground before Lee Fairclough took the ball on.

Davis delivered an excellent long pass to wing James McFarlane who beat the defence to score near the posts, Davis converting.

Trowbridge continued to press and, after turning down a penalty kick at goal, prop Fairclough forced his way over wide out.

Within a minute, McFarlane had intercepted near the halfway line and raced over to gain a bonus point. Davis converting to complete the scoring.
