WARMINSTER failed to adapt to the soggy conditions as well as their opponents as Dorset & Wilts One South leaders Bournemouth 2nd secured victory at Folly Lane.

The amber and blues were forced to make a number of changes from their victory over Wimborne 2nd, with three of the forward pack, Nick Leach, Reid Curtis and James Rowbotham all unavailable.

Bournemouth set the tone for the match, demonstrating why they were top of the pile having averaged nearly 60 points per game in their previous five victories.

The visitors put the ball through the hands with accuracy and soon took the lead with a penalty, followed by a converted try from the forwards.

The hosts were dealt a further blow when skipper and second row John McCredie was forced off from the field having sustained a nasty-looking knee injury and Bournemouth increased the lead further before the half was done with a further try.

The second half saw a much improved effort from the home side but the visitors secured a bonus point with two further tries.

Warminster’s injury woes continued as winger James Pinnell suffered a shoulder injury and scrum-half Soro sustained a nasty gash to the head.

Coach Emosi Naisaramaki quickly donned on a muddy shirt to help out his team and within 30 seconds of coming on, showed his class and Fijian flair to grab a consolation score.
