TOP-CLASS women’s rugby featuring a former England captain will be taking place in Trowbridge this Sunday.
Bristol Ladies’ Women’s Premiership clash with Aylesford Bulls last night was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Portway Rugby Development Centre but Trowbridge have offered up the use of their Doric Park ground, with the match instead taking place this Sunday (kick-off 2.30pm).
Bristol are currently fourth in the table going in to their clash against bottom-of-table Aylesford, who boast former England skipper Catherine Spencer amongst their ranks.
The 36-year-old captained her country at the 2010 Women’s World Cup, where hosts England lost 13-10 to New Zealand in the final at Twickenham Stoop.
