MELKSHAM 3rd delivered a convincing performance to put high flyers Alfred's Nomads to the sword in Dorset & Wilts Three North.
Nomads opened the scoring with a penalty but the home side responded by sending the ball out wide and back inside to flying full-back Andy Turner, who outpaced the defenders to score.
The two packs were evenly matched in the first half but the home team kicked for more territory, getting the forwards within striking distance.
Two further tries followed, including a score from prop Gordon Montgomery before the break.
Fresh legs into the pack gave Melksham the edge at scrum time in the second half, the visitors dealing well with a retreating pack.
Two more tries were scored, Alex Bound on his first game back from injury closing out the game.
