BRADFORD on Avon’s recent good form was brought to a halt as Bath visitors Walcot denied them a losing bonus point at Ashley Lane as they went down 21-12 in Southern Counties South.

Dave George’s side went into the match off the back of two wins, but subsided in the second half having led the contest at half time.

Josh Felix crossed for a try which he converted himself and winger Sam Awdry touched down for the home side’s second as Bradford grabbed a 12-10 advantage at the interval.

Walcot though got their noses in front courtesy of two penalties after half time and a last-minute try denied Bradford even a point.

George said: “It was a great first-half performance, but we need to learn to exit more smartly.’’
