KYLE Eastmond has renewed his contract with Bath Rugby, the club announced this lunchtime.

The 26 year old England centre, a key member of Bath's three-quarter line, insisted the decision to stay with the Recreation Ground club was an easy one.

“I feel like we’ve started a really exciting time at Bath,” said Eastmond, who joined the club from rugby league side St Helens in 2011.

“I don’t think there are many rugby clubs with such a positive training and playing environment that’s focused on making us the best players we can be, which makes this the ideal place for me to be playing.”

Bath head coach Mike Ford added: "Kyle is a big part of our drive for success here at Bath Rugby, so I’m very happy he’s committed himself to the club.

“He’s part of a young backline here that’s already achieved some great things, but there is a lot more to come from them.”
