TROWBRIDGE'S run of poor form away from home continued with a defeat to the third from bottom side in South West One East.
The visitors had problems from the warm-up with fly-half and main goal kicker Lloyd Davis picking up an injury that relegated him to the bench.
Matt Johnson stepped in at scrum-half, Dave Finlay moving to fly-half and George Leat joined Dan Smith in the centre but Wycombe opened the scoring with a penalty after 20 minutes from fly-half Cameron Baker.
Trowbridge youngster Ollie Weaver was unsuccessful with a penalty shot of his own and Trowbridge's problems mounted as they conceded a penalty try after a pushover attempt by Wycombe, Dan Smith receiving a yellow card.
Baker converted and added a further penalty before half time.
At the restart, Trowbridge full-back Ashley Chalk ran the ball back, setting up a rolling maul as the home pack tired and the visitors took control.
On 50 minutes Finlay broke a tackle and put Leat into space enabling him to score a try out wide.
Trowbridge ran the ball wide at every opportunity, putting Weaver in out wide but again the conversion was missed.
With a chance of victory, Trowbridge's backs were caught offside and the penalty was moved 10 metres forward after backchat, allowing Baker to land the three-pointer to stretch Wycombe clear.
But Trowbridge pushed back again, running the ball out wide until Weaver went in for his second try out wide to cut the gap to a point.
But Wycombe's pack found a second wind and a pushover try from number eight Jacob Palmer wrapped up the win for them.
