BATH’S Jonathan Joseph has returned to England’s starting XV to face Scotland on Saturday.

Eddie Jones will also be boosted by the fellow Bath back Anthony Watson being deemed fit enough to make the bench for the Calcutta Cup clash.

With three changes to the back line, Joseph returns at outside-centre, with Jack Nowell named on the right-wing, replacing Swindon’s Jonny May, who fails to make the matchday 23, and Ben Youngs starts at scrum-half.

“Our preparation for Scotland has been very good,” said Jones.

“We had two excellent training runs in Oxford last week and followed that up this week.

“We’re focused on ourselves; we want to give our fans a really good performance. We’ve worked hard in this RBS 6 Nations and feel like a good performance is just around the corner."

Watson and Billy Vunipola return to an England matchday 23 for the first time in this year’s Championship having both recovered from injury.
