FATHER and son Jason and Dan Goldsworthy teamed up for the first time to
share four tries as Corsham's thirds defeated their Melksham counterparts
63-0 in a club match at Lacock Road.
Young colts player Dan joined the action after half-time and revelled in his
first taste of senior action by claiming two tries, one set up by father and
fly-half Jason, and three conversions.
The senior Goldsworthy completed his brace in the second half with a
breakaway try from well inside his own half.

The home side led 27-0 at the interval before pulling away for a decisive
victory. Steve Scholes-Hamilton helped himself to four tries before injury
curtailed his involvement, Andy Davies winged in for two touchdowns and
Ryanveld the other.
Dan King, another colt, also made his first senior appearance, with Tom
Russell voted man of the match.
A mixed Corsham second team could not emulate their third team's efforts as
they slipped to a 37-5 defeat against their Cooper-Avon counterparts at
Melksham. Chris Ferris grabbed their consolation try.
