TROWBRIDGE came undone against a stubborn Walcot side who claimed a late 22-17 Southern Counties South win over Dan Jeffries’ side.

The head coach believes his side needs more consistency as they followed up all three of their last wins with a defeat.

“Lack of concentration cost us, we need increased consistency and focus throughout the game,” said Jeffries.

His team took the lead early on when Ashley Chalk crossed the line, but were soon pegged back when Tom Mitchell made it 5-5.

Trowbridge then regained the lead with another unconverted try, this time from Dave Martin, to take the game to 10-5, but Walcot then responded through a George Evans try and Barnie Jarvis conversion to make it 12-10.

Matt Wedding then claimed a debut try for the hosts to take the score to 17-10 before a Shai Bonnick try and successful Chalk conversion evened the game late on.

Disaster struck for Trowbridge as Jarvis applied the finish for the winning try.
