CORSHAM'S impeccable run in Dorset & Wilts One North continued unimpeded on Saturday as they soundly beat Minety 46-6 at Lacock Road on Saturday.

Four tries in each half kept the home side's seemingly-unstoppable march towards the league title on track, Lewis Jones and Alex Peterson scoring a brace of tries apiece, while Hamish Milner, Robbie Robinson, Ben Russell and Adam Draper all crossed the whitewash.

Will Chivers added three conversions, while fly-half Tom McAllister was responsible for Minety's points with a brace of penalties.

Corsham coach Tim Draper said: "I was really pleased with the performance. After a couple of games where we have been flat it was great to see the team get back to the standards we expect.

"Our set-piece dominance allowed us to play some of the best attacking rugby we have produced this season.

"The players worked hard in training during the week and their efforts were well rewarded in the game.''

Warminster kept up their patient pursuit of the pace-setters as they came out on top 45-21 against Pewsey Vale at Folly Lane.

Despite the wet conditions Warminster still looked to get their speedy backline into play and scored the first try when a quick tap penalty caught Pewsey unawares and number eight Dean Priestman's charge to the line was halted just short.

With a penalty advantage, the hosts recycled possession and flanker Connor McPherson wriggled over, fly-half Gavin Pratt converting.

A second score followed through try machine James Pinnell who bagged his 24th try of the season, Pratt again with the extras before full-back Tom Evans got himself on the end of a backline move to finish in the corner.

The second half began as the first ended, with Pewsey on the attack and they finally breached the Warminster defence to score the first of their three tries through scrum-half Tom Regan.

But Warminster secured the bonus point as good passing sent Evans in for his second under the posts, Pratt again adding the extras.

The sides again traded tries as Pewsey went in through flanker James Campbell before Pratt crossed the line and Jimmy Rees nailed the conversion.

Laisiasa Vinakadina then touched down for another, Pewsey adding their third from fly-half James Haynes before Isoa Vulagirua swooped on a loose ball and scored, Pratt booting the final conversion.

Bradford on Avon scored 50 unanswered points in the second half as they pulled clear to thump Swindon 2nd 60-12 in their first match at Ashley Lane since December 10.

The sides were locked at 12-12 at the interval, number eight Andrew Twinney and scrum-half Alex Baker scoring for the home side while Tom Park booted a conversion.

But in the second half, Bradford's decision to give more width to the ball paid dividends, Twinney scoring three more times and wings Ieuan Osborne and Vaughan Conybear also getting on the scoresheet.

Full-back Fin Dewar added a length-of-the-field score and added two conversions, along with two more for Park, while flanker Harry Linge and Sam Awdry also touched down.

Melksham maintained their interest in a top three finish after shutting out Frome 2nd 17-0 at Oakfields.

Frome had the early pressure but could not break the home defence and Melksham's growing impetus was rewarded in the 25th minute when fly-half Callum Hurn stepped his way through defenders to the line and converted his own try for the only points in the first half.

Both teams failed to master the blustery conditions, until the Melksham backs worked the ball out to winger Callum Gillard who rode tackles to touch down out wide.

The game secured by Aaron Brailey with a forwards push over try in the last quarter.
