WARMINSTER ended their two-match losing streak in Dorset & Wilts One North by winning 19-13 at home to Trowbridge 2nd.

Ross Williams and James Pinnell scored first-half tries, Jason Sprangle converting.

Sprangle also added the extras in the second half as Laisiasa Vinakadina touched down.

Bradford on Avon remain the closest challengers to leaders Combe Down, the Ashley Lane side picking up five points without kicking a ball as Swindon 2nd failed to field a team.

Melksham were ousted 19-5 at Combe Down, who took the lead with a catch and drive score before adding a second try under the posts.

The visitors rallied, creating pressure of their own in the Combe half, Luke Cador finally pouncing on a ball hacked on by Kieran Jenkins, but Combe struck against before the interval.

Injuries mounted up in the second period, which produced no points.
