THE first pool game of this year’s Wiltshire Cup competition saw Chippenham visit Bradford on Avon, the hosts taking an early lead with a penalty after sustained pressure.
Chippenham fought back and had two tries chalked off before Will Waddington took a tapped penalty and weaved his way over, Horatio Taylor converting.
Just before the break, Chippenham were awarded a scrum just inside the Bradford half and some superb handling saw the ball released to Kalif Barnes to run in.
Into the second half, discipline issues again came to the fore again and Bradford lost one of their front row to the sin-bin.
When Chippenham were awarded a penalty, Ollie Salt bulldozed his way over, Taylor adding the extras.
A try from Jamie Atkin followed and he added his second to round it off, Taylor adding the conversion.
