Westbury Youth continued their challenge for the Under 12s Green
Division title with a well deserved 6-0 win at Worton and Cheverell.
In a game that was played in the best of atmospheres, it was Westbury who
started the brighter and dominated the midfield for the first half.
Worton had to defend corner after corner and it was only a matter of time
before they went behind. As the teams turned around Westbury were 3-0 to the
good.

In the second half Worton, with the slope in their favour, started to match
Westbury in the middle of the park, but they were unable to convert the
pressure and Westbury scored more goals on the break.
Towards the end the home supporters thought they had the goal they deserved
when Kieran Dickinson hit the bar from the right wing.
Laverstock and Ford remain in the championship race after running out 8-1
winners at Bradford Town Youth.

Under 12s Red Division
WITH the wind at their backs, Marshfield started the stronger against
visitors Westbury Youth and created a number of chances before Jeremy Bond
gave Marshfield the lead.
Bond scored again before half-time with Rory Smith adding two more to their
tally for a comfortable 4-0 lead at the break.
The Westbury defence, led by Ryan Cook, improved after half-time and they
stormed back into the game only for Bond to complete his hat-trick for
Marshfield with a fine shot against the run of play.
Westbury were on top now and goals from Kieran Hardy (2) and Paul Eddington
gave them hopes of snatching a point. Marshfield were rocking and only stout
defending by Josh Gammie and Josh Gardner prevented Westbury scoring more.
An unfortunate own goal by Westbury ended their fight back and left
Marshfield 6-3 winners.
Melksham Town Yellows, with a changed squad through illness, found
themselves 3-0 down in the first minutes against club rivals Melksham Town
Youth Reds.
The rest of the first half saw a battling performance from the Yellows as
they went in 5-3 down at the break.
The second half saw the Yellows dealt a further blow when their goalkeeper
was injured and had to be replaced .
The Reds took full advantage, taking their lead to 13-3 before a late goal
left the final score at 13-4.
Goals for the Reds came from Sean Overton (5), Richard Phillips (2),
Benjamin Howell (2), Callum Race and Jordan Phillips. with his first
hat-trick for the team.
Luke Thompson (2) and Elliot Fudge (2) scored for the Yellows.
Praise was given for the spirit the game was played, with both teams
battling for the ball and entertaining a larger than usual number of
spectators.
