Another stunning derby match between Melksham Town Youth Saints
and Devizes Town Youth produced only the second defeat in 18 months for the
Saints in the Under 10s Blue Division.
The Saints started straight from the blocks with some great ball work,
passing in triangles and moving the visitors about. Niall Maidment and Liam
Kennedy, along with James Perrett, worked their socks off to deny anything
getting to Ollie Graham in the Devizes goal.
The first goal of the match came from the visitors when a long throw by
Kennedy was laid off by Perrett, and Kennedy, running on, smashed the ball
home from distance.

The home side deservedly pulled themselves back level after a deflection off
Perrett's knee fell to the Melksham forward to score. Perrett was then
involved up the other end when in front of goal but couldn't get his shot
away.
The second half was dominated by the visitors and mainly played in the home
side's half, Graham clinging to the ball on just a couple of occasions.
Pace and technical ability from wingers Luke Hamblen, Jamie Hall and Cullen
Wylie proved the cutting edge as Devizes swamped the Melksham goal. A
nervous display at the back and a ping pong session produced Devizes's
second goal. After a corner was cleared Kennedy delightfully touched the
ball sideways past one player then smashed the ball in the opposite corner
of the goal.
Great play by Wylie down the left flank sealed the game with ten minutes to
go. A cross found super sub Liam Hall whose pass back to Jamie Hall was inch
perfect and Jamie Hall then found the back of the net.
Second placed FC Chippenham closed the gap at the top of the table to just
three points by running out 5-0 winners away to Bradford Town Youth.
Javid Pond (2), Jai Saca, Nathan Davis and James Barrett scored for FC
Chippenham.

win against Warminster Highbury.
Alex Adlam scored for Highbury.
Under 10s Red Division

Park drew level after the restart but two more goals for the home side
finished the game at 3-1 to Chippenham.

win against Larkhall Athletic Falcons.
Peter Kimberley-Bowen, Ryan Musgrove and Kean Heywood scored for Larkhall.

Larkhall Athletic Eagles the lead at Westbury Tigers. The Eagles held out
until the dying minutes when the Tigers equalised.
