Chippenham Town Youth took the early initiative and control of
their local derby against FC Chippenham in Division One and consolidated
their efforts with a superbly taken goal by Dylan Hatt who lobbed the
goalkeeper and defence after the ball came to him after tenacious work from
Luis Nyman.
The game was end-to-end, with both sides playing good football in wet
conditions.
The second half was again end-to-end and FC Chippenham scored a fine
equaliser as Frank Vaz scored with a fine header from a well taken corner.

Chippenham Town pressed forward and created many fine chances but a goal
from Jordan Young, who capitalised on some indecision in the Chippenham
defence, gave FC Chippenham a 2-1 win.
Chippenham Town again attacked in numbers but were unfortunate not to secure
a point but all were pleased as both teams put on a fabulous display.

A WIN at last for Melksham Park B in a very even match against Trowbridge
Wanderers played in an excellent spirit.
With the rain pouring down both teams had chances in the first half but
defences were on top.
Eventually, after a good spell of pressure, Park finally got the
breakthrough with Jordan Earley scoring a fine goal, beating the goalkeeper
with a low shot.
Park's Harry Church and Jay Athay were very strong at the back and received
great help from Ayrton Bramley, Tai Jones, Ashley Beale and George Morrison.
Jordan Earley also dropped back towards the end as Trowbridge pushed for an
equaliser. In the last minute Trowbridge broke forward and looked certain to
score but Steven Brenchley stood firm in goal.
Man-of-the-match was Tai Jones.
Under Nines Division Five
DILTON Rovers maintained their place at the top of the table after running
out 3-1 winners at AFC Calne.
Andrew Cranston scored for Calne.
Under Nines Division Six
WESTBURY Youth Tigers ran out 5-3 winners over Chippenham Towns Youth Blue
in a very entertaining match at Redland Lane.
Westbury started with confidence and Ewan Whelan opened the scoring from a
well-worked Westbury attack. When the Chippenham goalkeeper failed to secure
the ball Ellie Osborne was quick to find the back of the net. Sam Cocks then
made it three when he found some space on the edge of the box to beat the
goalkeeper and Jacob Humphrey made it four soon after.
The score did not reflect the play, with Chippenham playing some good
football and before the break Dan Cotter's quick ball in from a corner found
the back of the Westbury net.
Humphrey restored the lead soon after the break with a fine left foot
strike. From then on it was Chippenham playing all the football, with Ben
Berkley making some great runs on the right wing, first putting Cotter in
for his second then getting one himself.
A hat trick from Callum Norris and a single from Harvey Amey secured a 4-1
home win for Trowbridge Town Youth E against Melksham Town Youth Magpies.
