LAVERSTOCK and Ford beat Worton and Cheverell 6-2 in a midweek game played
under floodlights in the under 12s Green Division.
Laverstock made the brighter start and would have gone ahead but for some
last ditch defending by the Worton team.
As the half went on the visitors got stronger but it was Laverstock who
scored and they went into the half-time break a goal up.

In the second half Laverstock scored again before Jordan Wildman got a faint
touch on a free kick to bring the score back to 2-1. Worton then had their
strongest period but some good defending meant they were unable to convert
their chances.
Laverstock then hit them on the break and then scored again from the penalty
spot. Jon O'Donovan pulled another goal back for Worton and Cheverell direct
from a corner.
As the game went on Worton's attacking left them exposed at the back and
Laverstock took advantage to run out 6-2 winners.
