AFC CORSHAM beat visitors Devizes Town Youth 4-1 in their rearranged game in
the Under 13s Blue Division.
Corsham started brightly despite the blizzard conditions and in their first
attack Harry Roberts hit the bar from the left hand corner of the area.
Corsham continued to press and scored two quick goals. The first was from a
swift passing move in midfield between Josh May and Matt Hughes who played
James Harris in on the right and he squared the ball for Harry Roberts to
score.

The second was from good passing from defence by Hugh Tayler and Harry
Hoyle. The ball was played through to Josh Hard who ran on the score past
the Devizes goalkeeper.
Devizes then dominated the next period of the game, with Josh Thompson
seeing his shot well saved by Nick Chandler and the rebound headed on to the
bar.
Corsham scored a third just before the break, Will Jacomb this time
supplying the decisive pass to James Harris whose cross was again met by
Harry Roberts on the far post to side foot the ball in from six yards.
Devizes got a lifeline early in the second half, when Josh Thompson rounded
the goalkeeper to tap the ball into an empty net, but Corsham continued to
press throughout the half and a good one-two between Adam Mitchell and Josh
Hard put Hard through to secure the game with a deft finish.
Despite the weather, the game was played in a good spirit with both teams
trying to play passing football.
