Wanderers win Trowbridge derby

UNDER 15s: Trowbridge Wanderers were 2-1 winners over local rivals Trowbridge Town Youth in the Under 15s Blue Division.

Otis Young and Sam Worsfold scored the goals.

Under 15s Green Division

CASTLE Combe took a narrow 1-0 lead at the break in their away game against Westbury Youth.

Westbury equalised shortly after the restart before Combe regained the lead and went on to finish 6-1 winners.

Lui, Bilal, Stoner, Oscar, Adam Cox and Mattie Cox scored for Combe, with Flynn Precup replying for Westbury.

Under 15s Red Division

BRADFORD Town Youth White played host to club-mates Bradford Blues in what turned out to be an exciting derby game, with the lead changing hands several times.

The Whites took just six minutes to score with a short range shot from Matt Bartlett. The first half continued with both teams endeavouring to control the game, but it was the Blue team that were creating the most opportunities and, after an individual run, Gabriel Nathan drilled a shot past the goalkeeper.

Nathan scored again three minutes later to put the Blues ahead. A few minutes before half-time the Whites countered with a determined run from Matt Brown to level the score at the break.

The Whites started the second half at a ferocious pace as they concentrated their attack down the right flank, resulting in a goal from Ali Meghji in the 50th minute.

A win looked secure for the Whites as they continued to press their attacks, keeping the Blues penned up in their own half, but the Blues made the most of a throw-in deep in the opposition half, resulting in an excellent long range goal from Callum Kellet to level the score.

This was a thrilling, competitive game to the very end and the draw seemed a fair result.

Chippenham Town Rangers and Mere also enjoyed a thrilling game which ended all square at 4-4.

Sam Boyne(2), Ryan Armstrong and Gavin Gurung scored for the Rangers, with Matthews (2) and Malaki Benjamin (2) replying for Mere.
