Saints clinch league crown

UNDER 10s: Melksham Town Saints clinched the Under 10s Blue Division title and warmed up for the cup final with a 3-0 away win at Trowbridge Wanderers.

Saints broke the deadlock six minutes into the second half when Sean Horobin controlled the ball on the left wing before smashing it into the net.

Melksham extended their lead when a Harry Box cross was flicked in by goalkeeper turned centre forward Ben Amor. Melksham's win and the championship were sealed when Lucien Calking turned in the rebound following a Warren Rees drive.

Under 10s Green Division

WHITE Horse Juniors and Melksham Town Robins play a hard fought but exciting match with lots of effort and commitment from both sides.

White Horse started strongly, with two goals in the first five minutes, but Melksham did not let this bad start affect them and were level by half-time.

White Horse started the second half well and through some good team work and excellent passing scored another three goals. Melksham continued to play well and pulled back another goal before full time.

Alexander Davies (3) and Ben Sawyer (2) scored for White Horse.

Under 10s Purple Division

MELKSHAM Town Eagles took a 1-0 lead against Derry Hill United with a goal from Dan Walker.

The Eagles were then unlucky to concede two goals, but battled on bravely.

Under 10s Yellow Division

THIRD-place White Horse Dragons ran out 6-3 winners away to second place Bradford Town Youth, narrowing the gap between them to just one point.

Harvey Bennet (2) and Joe Bates scored for Bradford.
