Harry Redknapp believes midfielder Scott Parker's participation at Euro 2012 could be in doubt due to an Achilles injury.
The influential midfielder has been left out of the Tottenham starting XI for their last three matches and it is unlikely he will be selected for Sunday's season finale against Fulham - a game the Londoners need to win to secure at least a top-four finish in the Barclays Premier League.
He explained: "He's had a problem with his Achilles, I hope it's not going to get worse. It isn't getting any better. It's a long-term concern. The way he is at the moment, he is struggling for fitness."
Redknapp thinks the 31-year-old may have to miss the Three Lions' pre-Euro 2012 training camp, which begins on May 21 in Spain, and fears for his fitness over the summer.
He added: "It's not a rupture but it is sore. It is bothering him. After tomorrow he will have some injections in it and we'll see if that can clear it up.
"He's been carrying it a few weeks. Maybe the only cure is a bit of rest but maybe the injections might clear it up. The specialist thinks it will clear up but it will need 10 days rest afterwards."
Meanwhile, Redknapp is considering withdrawing his offer to be a BBC pundit at Euro 2012. Nine days ago the BBC announced that Redknapp would be part of their team in Poland and Ukraine for the European Championship.
The 65-year-old is now thinking about turning his back on the deal as he wants to rest after a draining year that his seen him undergo a heart procedure, successfully contest two charges of tax evasion and lead Spurs to the brink of a top-four finish in the Barclays Premier League.
Redknapp also feels it would be difficult to offer his views on England's performance at the tournament given that he missed out on becoming Three Lions head coach to Roy Hodgson.
"I'm still trying to make up my mind (about the BBC position)," said Redknapp, who was part of the broadcaster's team for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. "I will look at it in the summer. It could be tricky. I wouldn't be criticising (Hodgson) in any way so I suppose there's not much point having me on!"
