Parents Marica and Ropate Naulu said the latest addition to their family will definitely be the last, following the arrival of their fifth child Leilah at Trowbridge Birthing Centre.

The couple, who have been together for eight years, already have three boys, Frances, seven, Joseph, six, and David, four, as well as one-year old Laisa.

Mr and Mrs Naulu, who are originally from Fiji, did not know the sex of their newborn before the birth, but decided that if it was a girl they would name her after Mrs Naulu’s sister.

Mrs Naulu, 34, said: “The pregnancy was quite tiring for me and it was harder than my previous ones. She is our fifth child and definitely the last.

“Her due date was on January 28, so she arrived a week early, which was a bit of a surprise for us. We had a name for if it was a boy or girl and if it was a girl we said we would name her after my sister.

“The midwives at Trowbridge Birthing Centre were excellent and did a really great job. I had a water birth like I did when I had Laisa, but the other three were born in Fiji.”

The couple, who moved to the army barracks in Warminster as Mr Naulu, 33, is a Lance Corporal in the army, said their family is overjoyed about news of their latest arrival.

Mrs Naulu added: “Our family is really happy and overjoyed at the news. Our other children were also really excited when we brought Leilah home and have been a great help.

“She has been really good since we brought her home and she is sleeping well at the moment.

“She only cries when she is hungry, which is good.”
