Juliet Hazel Marsh
Born: April 9, 7.05am
Weight: 5Ib 13oz
Parents: Polly and Chris Marsh, Chippenham
NEW parents Polly and Chris Marsh were full of praise for staff at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, following the arrival of their newborn girl Juliet.
The couple, who have been together for 10 years and married for almost seven years, were initially due to have Juliet at Chippenham Community Hospital, but she was eventually delivered at the RUH.
Mrs Marsh, 31, who works as a teacher at The Mead Community Primary School in Trowbridge, said they only decided on the name for their daughter after the name they already had in mind did not seem to fit her.
She said: “We didn’t know whether we were having a boy or girl, but we had some ideas of names that we liked and if it was a girl we were going to go for Catherine.
“However, when she was born we both looked at her and thought she didn’t seem like a Catherine, so Juliet was another name we liked and it suited her better. Her middle name was my grandmother’s name.
“The pregnancy was fine and I didn’t really have any sickness, which was good. We were due to have her at Chippenham Hospital, but we had to be transferred to Bath.
“The nurses were brilliant and I can’t rate them highly enough. I would like to thank the nurses at the RUH and our midwife who has been wonderful throughout.”
Mr Marsh, 36, who works as an emergency care assistant, and Mrs Marsh have already had lots of visitors since the arrival of the new addition to the family.
“Our family have been very excited and it is the first grandchild for my mum and dad, so they are completely besotted and obsessed with her, while Chris’s parents are also delighted,” added Mrs Marsh.
“We have had lots of visitors and many lovely cards and presents. Juliet is very contented and she only cries if she needs feeding, while she is only waking a couple of times during the night.”
