BIRTH: Aaron Joshua Waldron

12:36pm Thursday 15th May 2008

BABY Aaron's arrival in the world led to tears of relief and joy from his parents, who were given a fright during the birthing process.

Aaron's mum Claire Waldron had to be taken by ambulance from the maternity unit at Trowbridge Hospital to the Royal United Hospital in Bath after problems developed once her waters had broken.

Her son's heart rate started to fall during labour, so they needed to be taken to Bath in case he needed specialist care after he was born.

They arrived in Bath at 10.30am and Aaron was born eight minutes later.

Proud father James, who works in IT for Bath and North East Somerset Council, said: "He was a bit lifeless when he first came out but within a few seconds he was screaming the place down, which was a big relief.

"We both broke down in tears when we heard him scream. It was overwhelming."

The couple picked the name Aaron from a list of names they had both agreed on.

Aaron, who was born on his due date, is the couple's second son. Their first child, Luke, is now two years old and has been bonding with his baby brother.

Claire, who works for Lloyds TSB, said: "Luke has been quite oblivious to it, but he has given him lots of cuddles and kisses. He's very loving with him."

The couple met while students at George Ward School in Melksham.

They married at St Michael's Church in Melksham in 2004.

Born: Friday, May 9 at 10.38am, Weight: 7lb 7oz, Parents: James, 30, and Claire Waldron, 30, of Langley Road, Trowbridge
