A FORMER catering supervisor at Trowbridge Hospital has died, aged 66.
Pamela Todd worked for the hospital until her retirement two years ago, and also delivered food to both Bradford on Avon and Westbury hospitals.
Mrs Todd grew up in Corsham and after attending Hawthorn Primary school went on to Corsham Comprehensive School.
She worked for Corsham company JD Electronics after leaving school, before meeting and marrying Trevelyen James Todd in 1959 in Box.
The couple had three children, Char, Deborah and Dean, and moved into their first home in Beech Grove, Trowbridge, where they were to settle down, except for a few years spent living in Australia.
After an operation for a suspected frozen shoulder, the grandmother-of-four was told she had cancer and had battled with the disease for the last nine months.
Her granddaughter Laura, 19, is due to give birth to her daughter in two weeks, which would have made Mrs Todd a great-grandmother for the first time.
Mrs Todd enjoyed travelling and took regular holidays with her friends abroad. She took her last holiday in Benidorm only a week ago, fulfilling her ambition to visit the area.
Mrs Todd's funeral will take place at Haycombe Crematorium, Bath, at 11.30am on October 7 and will be followed, at her request, by a wake held at The Black Horse pub, on Frome Road, Trowbridge Friends are invited to pay their respects at both the service and the wake. Donations in Mrs Todd's memory can be made to to Dorothy House Hospice, c/o Barker & Courtiers funeral directors, 52 Bond Street, Trowbridge.
